Away league match played on 21 April 2013.
Kicked off at 1:30 PM

It's always a passionate affair whenever these two teams meet.  Two very good sides, with totally different playing styles, who seem to bring out the best football in each other.

After a 10 minute delay, due to the referee being late, the game kicked off.

Both sides got stuck in straight away, although it was Clenchwarton who settled quickest in to the game, with the midfield trio of Josh Chilvers, Edward Brown and Jordan Turner winning the battle in the middle of the park.  Lewis Jeavons and Kyle Turvey prevented most West Winch attacks down the flanks with some superb challenges and determined chasing down.  Anything that did get through was ably dealt with by the back three of Karl Brown, Robbie Rose and Alex Havers.

The away side always looked a threat going forward, with Kodie Turvey and Josh Murray chasing everything down.  Jordan Turner was at the heart of the majority of attacking moves, playing some of the best football of the season with all his silky skills on show, and the vision to find that all important final pass.

The best chance of the first half came on 25 minutes.  Josh Murray collect the ball just inside the opponents half.  He turned, and then took off towards goal.  30 yards out, Josh Murray knocked the ball through two defenders and tried to pass between them, only to be cynically taken out by the pair.  Free Kick.  Jordan and Kodie step up to take.  Jordan steps over the ball and rolls the ball in to Kodie's path.  Kodie hits it on target towards the far right of the goal, which sees Alex Havers dashing in to miss the header by a whisker.

Half Time : 0 - 0

The second half continued where the first half had finished, loosing none of the passion to the midway break.

Winch had a couple of half chances where the ball managed to get in to the Clenchwarton box, resulting in some goalmouth scrambles, although nothing came of them.

58 minutes, and the deadlock is broken.  Jordan Turner picks up the ball in midfield and tricks his way out of trouble.  He drives forward and lays a lovely ball in to Kodie Turvey.  Kodie cuts over on to his slightly weaker right foot and unleashes a bullet in to the right hand side of the net, leaving the keeper no chance.  The whole team pounced on to Kodie, showing how much importance it had on the players.  A truly memorable sight for the away fans.  0 - 1

West Winch tried to battle their way back in to the game, showing an even more determined attitude.  However, the potential comeback was given a knock on 65 minutes.  James winner collected the ball on the right hand side of the goal area.  He smartly stepped inside his defender and unleashed a shot at goal from a narrow angle.  The ball took a slight deflection, and flew past the keeper.  0 - 2

The game then became a little more heated, with frustration starting to show.  Both sides battled hard to the end and provided the spectators with one of the best games of the season - a real credit to both clubs.

The league and cup double is now firmly on for Clenchwarton.

MOM : The whole team, for a wonderful, battling team performance.

Final Score : 0 - 2
