Macs Bar 3 - 4 Wishaw Athletic
We started pressuring Macs Bar from the start didn't take long to go 1-0 up after a through ball from McCann which was finished off by Dean Small. Macs bar equalised later on in the half after our determination to get the ball forward causing us to try and force opportunities. A great run from Gistel Bjorn into the box was met by Macs bar keeper who fouled him giving us the opportunity of a penalty which wasn't converted, our 2nd goal came short...ly after Knoxy who finished well inside the box to make it 2-1, Macs bars equaliser was somewhat a fluke coming off Chiz head and looping over Jamsy. Bob arrived to see Macs bar taking a unbelievable 3-2 lead after a needless foul resulting in a free kick which wasn't dealt with inside the box. Bob says " DON'T MAKE ME ANGRY!!" After a good constructive half time team talk we started off the 2nd half passing well, pressuring their defence from either side and through the middle. The equaliser was coming some great passing throughout the full team, great football! A through ball from Deano was finished well by Graeme Jed Cockburn after a good run into the box making it 3-3. We continued to look for the winner a few changes made Darren Pew, Sean Gaffney and Alistair Lannigan brought on. We went searching for the winner and it came in the dying minutes after a great ball through by into Martin Martin Clark feet by Darren Pew to quote Dumber and dumber "
Just when we think that penalty miss was important , you go and do something like this… and totally redeem yourself! To make it 4-3 Wishaw much to everyone's delight and Martins relief! As the game was ending a vital close range from Jamsy who to ensure we got the win. Jamsy throughout the game was the difference pulled off 3 or4 great saves had despite the numerous chances we didn't take today he was still the difference. Well played mate! Overall a great team performance especially in midfield passing, movement and intelligent play was top class although their is no need to rush, if nothing is on going forward look for an outlay across or back.
