Wishaw 1 - 5 Coalburn
I'm going to keep this short & sweet .... well try!
Going behind early on despite a good start didn't take long after great play down the wing which Dean Small crossed the ball into the box for Lee Thomson to head by the keeper. We played some good football cutting out their attacks, countering them but no end product a lot of time spent in midfield, everyone working hard not getting the break of the ball or any decisions. The 3 goals we lost in quick su...ccessions where caused by a midfield who switched after all that hard work was a big shock and a blow, in what was a bit part performance by Coalburn; going in 4-1 down at half-time was a false image of how component they are as a team or the effort shown by us in that 1st half. A brighter start in the 2nd half again the decisions never falling for us apart from a few never really getting a clear chance at goal always half chances after successions of fouls. A card happy ref looking for opportunities to book players despite them being on the receiving end of fouls or tackles.
Overall a false image was created by that result today if they are happy with that performance then there has to be questions asked. We have a breather next week let's focus on the last 3 games and 9 points ahead of pre-season.
Some great performances today but man of the match despite his English songs Lee Knox
