Another home game against the team bottom of the league looked easy on paper. But a poor pitch and a few hangovers after the race night made it harder than it should have been.
The game started and the monk took the lead after only 8 minutes Dave wile scoring from the penalty spot after a hand ball by the defender to make it 1-0.
The second goal came soon after some great work down the right by Liam Oudnie taking on two men before putting in a lovely chip cross onto the head of Dave Wile who made no mistake with the finish to make it 2-0.
The third goal came on 30 minutes a free kick given away on the edge of the box was well taken by Graham Thompson who hit the target with a good effort, the keeper could only block the shot with the rebound falling straight to Jason Winn who powered the header home making it 3-0 and what should have been game over.
To be fair to Quarrington hill they never give up and scored there first goal on 35 minutes a free-kick played in was poorly defended and finished off giving the visitors a life line.
This give Quarrington hill some confidence and they started to pass the ball around and scored there second goal from another set play, a decent corner played in was only cleared to the edge of the box and was slotted away in the bottom corner making it 3-2 half time.
The second half kicked off and the monk scored early a through ball play to Dave Wile with a good first touch he was away from the defender who tried to pull him back a good advantage by the ref played on and Dave slotted it under the keeper to make it 4-2.
Quarrington hill came back again scoring after some confusion at the back to make it 4 -3
The game continued and the tackles started to fly in but the monk grabbed the next goal Dave Wile again with a cool finish making it 5 - 3.
Quarrington hill just wouldn't give up and confusion over a offside let the striker in to finish it and make it 5 - 4
The sixth goal for the monk came on 70 minutes Dave wile taking on his man attempted the cross and a fortunate Mis kick sent the ball over the keepers head making it 6 - 4
The monk grabbed the next goal Liam Oudnie racing through to finish and seal the game making it 7-4.
Quarrington hill grabbed another goal after a poor clearance, the ball was well finished into the top corner making it 7-4
The final goal came on 87 minutes the ball played to the feet of Antony Waterson who took on his man and finished it brilliantly into the top corner from outside the box to make the final score 8-5
