The game kicked off on a great pitch. Shincliffe started the game the stronger of the two teams with the shoes struggling to find some rhythm. The first Chance of the game fell to shincliffe a long ball played into the box a free header was put wide. The first goal came on 20 minutes some good work for Joad down the left playing In a low cross for a easy tap in for rob Fenwick. 1-0.
The Shoes found their passing game and kept the ball well and controlled the game the second goal came after and defensive mix up by shincliffe and a tap in for Rob Fenwick who never give up 2-0.
Chances can and went for both teams but nothing that tested any keeper.
Half time 2-0.
The second half kicked off and once again shincliffe started the better of the two teams and they soon got back in to the game with a short back pass played to the keeper the striker nipping in, to round the Keeper to make it 2-1.
The next goal soon followed a lovely weighted ball played though the defence by Steven Gardiner into the path of Joad who ran with the ball into the box with a lovely low finish to make it 3-1.
Shincliffes next goal came with another defensive mix up which left the striker with an east tap in. 3-2
The shoes then took the game to shincliffe and went looking for more goals super sub Steven Gibson came on with 20 minutes to go to and injected some speed and energy to the front line and he was on the score sheet with his second touch with a poaches goal at the far post to make it 4-2. He was soon on the score sheet again with a similar goal some good work from Michael Williamson and a good shot was spilled by the keeper for another tap in making the final score 5-2 to the shoes.
