A tough looking away game against a team we needed to beat to stay in touching distance with the teams above.
The game started and the game was even with some good passing by both teams with the shoes winning the midfield battle and not really looking troubled at the back. The shoes started to get into there stride with Adam baister giving the right bad a tough time.
The first goal came on 25 minutes a good flick on fell in the path of dave wile who got to the ball just before the keeper chipping it over him with the keeper then wiping him out given the ref no option but to point to the spot. Dave got up and coolly slotted the ball home making it 1-0.
The shoes continued to dominate the first half with baister taking on people for fun and the whole team working for each other. The second goal came on the stoke of half time a lovely ball played over the top by Russell Harris into the run of dave wile who made it 2-0 half time.
The second half kicked off the the host came out looking to get back into the game but the back 4 held strong and didn't really give the hosts many clear cut chance.
A couple of good chances fell to the shoes Joad blazing over from close range and a good effort by Chris going just wide.
The third goal for the shoes came on 79 minutes some good play the ball was playing into the box and a brave diving header by Joad made it 3-0. Credit to the hounds they kept going and a brilliant free kick 30 yards out got them a goal to give them hope with 8 minutes remaining.
The shoes nearly threw the game away when the hounds got a second goal with 2 minutes left with a dubious offside decision going against the shoes. But the shoes held on for all 3 point with a score line that maybe flattered to host a little bit.
Some outstanding performance today notable from Jason Winn, Russell Harris and man of the match Adam Baister but the whole team played well and we need to carry that into our next game.
Well done to all the lads that didn't get a game today that's what's it's all about its a team game and not just the 11 lads that start it's the whole squad.
