Following the 4-2 victory on Monday night, Sporting returned to face Dudley Hill Rangers for the second time in 3 days.
On this occasion, they made life more difficult for themselves by going 2 goals down after just 10 minutes. However, in true Armley fashion they battled back to eventually win the game 3-2.
With John Moses and Adam Hamblett unavailable, Dave Barlow was called up in goal at the last minute.
The defence remained strong with Danny Pearson at left back, Bryant Coldwell at right back and Glenn King in the centre alongside Richard Moses.
James Lee and Gareth Knight were in central midfield as usual, and there were returns on the flanks for Liam Robinson and Karl Smith.
Up front were the new strike team of Danny Goulden and Andi Bellhouse.
It has to be said that this entire game was almost overshadowed by one of the worst refereeing performances of the season. The ref was whistle happy, blowing for absolutely everything and booking players for simply asking him why he gave a free kick.
James Lee was booked within minutes, and then shortly afterwards a soft freekick was awarded to Dudley Hill Rangers from which they scored. A lofted ball into the box was flicked backwards towards goal, looping over the keeper for 1-0.
A few minutes later the referee ignored the blatant offside and Dudley Hill Rangers were 2-0 up with a simple one-on-one finish.
Armley dusted themselves off and got back into the game, dominating the remaining 80 minutes with a glut of chances that could have seen the final score reach double figures, but in the end they settled for a 3-2 victory.
Danny Goulden scored two simple tap ins to bring the game level at half time. The first came from an excellent Liam Robinson cross after he dribbled his way down the left wing.
The second goal came from another Robinson attack down the left flank. Andi Bellhouse was played through this time, but with the ball bouncing he lifted it high over the outcoming goalkeeper.
The ball remained in the air for what seemed like an age, but when it finally came back down to Earth, Goulden was there at the far post to nod the ball into the empty net.
Armley were unlucky not to score again before the break, with Andi Bellhouse powering a thunderous header direct at the keeper from a corner kick, and then minutes later firing a shot just inches over the bar after some more great play by Robinson.
In the second half Armley seemed to switch their attack to the right flank, with Karl Smith getting more into the game and getting the crosses in for Bellhouse and Goulden.
Chance after chance came Armley's way, but the crucial third goal just wasn't arriving. The referee wasn't helping things either, disallowing a good Armley goal for offside, as tempers began to fray.
Eventually Sporting got the winning goal that their play and domination deserved. Bellhouse turned provider for a second time, playing a long ball over the top for Liam Robinson to race onto.
Robinson's pace was just too much for Dudley Hill and he cooly slid the ball past the keeper to make it 3-2.
Armley's end of season rise up the league table continues.
