With the first game of the day being won it was imperative that we kept the pressure on the league leaders...and so it was to be.
Excactly a carbon copy off the first game with Heyside seemingly camped out in TSC Uniteds half.. Poor Harry A he must have thought surely i'm not just here to make the numbers up !!! Antony and Josh N were again calm at the back, Hayden Josh P and Josh K were putting some nice touches together and Alex was moving the defence all over the place.my only real gripe in the first 10 minutes was if we are going to have a good chance of winning this league it may come down to goal difference, the chances that we create have got to be finished more clynically. Heyside should have been out of site by this time and if we were playing a better side we could have been punished...it's just something to think about ;).
Fifteen minutes gone and Josh N sprayed the ball to Hayden who blasted his shot low and hard to finally give Heyside the deserved lead. 1-0.
A hatful of corners came and surely someone was going to get on the end of one..Alex thought that his header had crossed the line(and so did we) but the referee waved play on..unfortunateley it was TSC United who scored...but in their own goal, it was unlucky on Hayden and Josh P's part as they were whiskers away from claiming it. 2-0. A generally good first half from everyone in windy conditions.
Half Time Score - Heyside Juniors A 2 TSC United A 0.
The game was to be wrapped up early in the second half and it was Luke Casey with an exquisite strike from way outside the box which looped up over the keeper. 3-0.
A flurry of attacks came again and it was Darren who broke up the play, the ball then squirted to Hayden who jinked into the area and fired across the keeper. 4-0.
The game started to now even it self up as Heyside thought this game was in the bag and they suddenly realised that TSC United had started to get a grip off the game.
Harry was to be applauded as he had virtually been a spectator most of the game and his concentration has to be commended for making some cracking saves. Alas he could do nothing about TSC Uniteds one and only goal as a quick slick move carved open Heysides defence. 4-1.
Full Time Score - Heyside Juniors A 4 TSC United A 1.
Harry A was tremendous again when called upon, Antony and Josh N seem to have a good understanding going on, Josh P Josh K Darren and Hayden were brilliant again and Luke and Alex worked tirelessly up front.
The game realistically should have been double figures..so let's be more dynamic next week and put the chances away early.
M.O.T.M. - Hayden Smith - Another great performance !!!
