The sun was out as Hemlington hosted The Coranation FC infront of a big crowd which saw the return of Nathen Tidy and Joseph McKenna to the line up.And it only took minutes for the home team to get on the score sheet as straight from the Hemlington ko Farnaby played the ball back to Tidy who drew in to players trying to close him down he picked a slick pass through the middle of them for Paul Jenkins to collect on the half way line and spotted the run of Joseph McKenna and passed into his path with a through ball , McKenna collected drove into the box from the left then cut inside onto his right foot and smashed it passed the keeper from 10 yards out in the 2nd minute.
Coranation kicked off and Hemlington applied the pressure straight away winning back possession was Captain Richard May who then laid the ball to Nathan Tidy just inside the Coranation half and spotted the run from deep by Paul Jenkins and a perfectly weighted pass into his path by Tidy allowed Jenkins the time to shape up on the right hand side of the 18 yard line and struck across the keeper into the bottom left hand corner. 2-0 9th minute.
Coranation heads didnt drop and got back in the game in the 17th minute when coranation left winger beat Matty Devine drove down the line put a ball into the box for a un pressured forward to side foot in .2-1 17th minute.
Just under 15 minutes had past when Coranation equalised this time coming through the centre of midfield and challenged and shooting a un protected Craig Cook was left standing ,2-2 31st minute.
Chances came and went for Hemlington with May ,Farnaby ,McKenna and Caney going close but it was Coranation with the final punch of the half from a right hand side corner which was crossed to the far post was head back to the centre of the 6 yard line for the standing alone Coranation player to tap through the legs of keeper Craig Cook .2-3 in the 42nd minute . offside was hottly contested by Captain Richard May but was ignored by a well judged referee.
40 seconds into the second half Hemlington equalised in a pretty much carbon copy of his first goal Nathan Tidy spotted the run from deep again by Paul Jenkins and slid the ball into his path but this time Jenkins beat the defending Coranation defender and struck from just in side the box into the opposite corner again .3-3 46th minute.
It took until the 60th minute for Hemlington to regain the lead when Joseph McKenna dribbled down the left beating his man and crossing but it deflected into the path of Nathan Tidy who calmly slotted the ball into the net 4-3 .
In the 70th minute Hemlington killed the game on a counter attack Matty Devine played the Ball into the path of Paul jenkins and after beating the defending player he was left one on one with the keeper and facing the prospect of scoring his hattrick he gobsmacked all on lookers when he un selfishly squared the ball for an un marked and well positioned Dan Farnaby to tap in at the far post. 5-3
Mentions must be said for Callum Roulston, Matty Devine and the returning Nathan Tidy n Joseph McKenna after playing superbly but Man of the Match went Paul Jenkins after scoring 2 and assisting 2 and tireless running in centre midfield
