Today's game was against a fleet side who we haven't played for a long time , losing 4-1 early last season.
The game was played in horrific conditions with persistent rain and a chilly breeze. Having said this all our boys were a credit and just got on with it and put in a superb performance.
We started the game brightly and very soon we were creating chances. Harrison and Lucas had good shots saved well by fleets goalie. As the half wore on our play got better and better. Adam and Tyler comfortably coped with fleets attacks and with Harrison and Lucas running their defence ragged we should really have been 2 of 3 up. When our first goal did come it was a real Beauty. A superb tackle and pass from James sent Harrison away down the line. He beat a defender the calmly pulled the ball back Harv to smash the ball first time into the top corner. A wonderful finish and a goal he has deserved for his past performances. We kept creating until half time and looked in real control with our midfield of James, Alex and Harv bossing the game, Harrison could of added another when well placed and the fleet goalie made another good save from Lucas. In truth we should have been out of sight at half time but it wasn't to be.
The second half was as good a performance as we have put in this season. The boys played with confidence and energy and fleet had no answer to it. On the only occasion we did get caught max was more than up to the task and turned the ball round the post. Some of the attacking play was a pleasure and eventually we got our rewards. Lucas finished well from and great pass from Harrison and then Lucas returned the favour for Harrison. Two superb team goals. The last goal was a superb example of our team play. A superb tackle from Tyler released Adam and his surging run and cross fell to Harv. His perfectly timed pass fell to Lucas who finished well for his second of the game. Overall a superb game from our boys.
Max. Only called upon once but again was up to the task. Quiet game but great save when needed.

Adam. Superb game. Defended excellently and got forward when he could. Very powerful game.
Alex. Superb energy. Plenty of tackle and some neat skills in possession. Unlucky not to score.
James. Outstanding. Confident when in possession and some fantastic passing. Superb defending when asked to do so. Man of the match.
Harvey. Unbelievable goal. Superb vision and range of passing. At the heart if everything
Lucas. Another great game. Superb passing and two great finishes for his goals.
Harrison. Unbelievable game. Made two and scored one. Fleet had no answer for his pace and crossing, some great skills as well.
We didn't really get a chance to speak to the boys after the game as they were all frozen!! However today's game optimised what our team is all about. Working for each other and passing the ball!!
