More about the team
Bishops Itchington FC Sunday side rose from the dead in early 2001 led by charismatic village youth Anthony "Norm" French. During the early years the team played in the Coventry Intermediate Division 2 against such opposition as Bishopgate, Stoke Heath Rangers and Archers. Their first ever win came against old rivals Eastern Green Reserves and the team finished mid table but trophy less in their several seasons in the Coventry setup
The club moved into the Leamington & District Sunday League in 2004-2005 and broke their trophy duck in 2007-2008 winning the Division 5 title, Division 5 Cup and Goalscorers trophy. They also famously took the scalp of local rivals Long Itchington of Division 3 in the Challenge Cup in that season. The winning streak continued in 2008-2009 with the Division 4 title and Division 4 cup added to the trophy cabinet in a fitting end to Norms time with the club.
2009-2010 saw Damien Faulkner move into the hotseat and win a treble in his first season. The Division 3 title, Division 3 Cup and Maurice Billington Cup making it's way into the trophy cabinet. The side finished the league season unbeaten winning 15 and drawing only 1 of their games.
The club also fields two Saturday sides in the Banbury District & Lord Jersey leagues and couldn't run without the backing of it's sponsors;
