Home league match played on 22 November 2009.

Do not adjust your set, it really does say 10-0.

The much anticipated scheduled fixture against Khalsa was changed on Tuesday night due to them having a re-arranged BCFA Vase game, so we were pitted against league whipping boys Napton. With the team portrait snapped by Greaves Club maestro Gary Bishop, the pre game banter was on a high and fuelled greater by a change into the Hot Shot Hamish kit of yesteryear. In truth we looked like Throwback FC with what appeared to Nigel Reeves strolling around midfield, but on closer inspection it was found to be Seb.

Macca donned the gloves in Nathan's absence and Coops got a start due to Matt Trinders injury. Otherwise the team setup had a familiar look to it. Sadly Napton's setup was unfamiliar, underlined by the fact they were a player short and wearing the same colour kit as us, hence the kit change.

From the off it was one sided affair and despite Napton having the first shot on goal, there was never any danger of an upset here. Coops opened the scoring, latching on to Seb's throughball, then rounding the keeper for 1-0! Adam Trinder headed home the second and soon after Jordans shot went through the keepers legs for 2-0! and 3-0! Trinder then got his second with a swerving drive from distance for 4-0! Such was Bishops command on the game that Macca had now taken to sitting on a seat by his goal due to the lack of action in and around his box. Adam Trinder completed his first half hat-trick, breaching the paper thin defence to finish smartly for 5-0! Cooper ended the first half rout by getting up to head home powerfully for 6-0! HALF TIME!

With Giggles getting injured early in the second half, the home fans were treated to a bonus length MalcyTime, and within two minutes of appearing Wallsgrove bundled the ball home from Jordan's cross for 7-0! The big man said it was perhaps an own goal, but as far as we're all concerned it's a MalcyMoment. Bettered only by his 5 yard sprint, 10 yard stumble, sending the big fellow to the deck shortly after his goal to thunderous applause from the crowd!  We were now playing ole football and with more triangles than Round Oak school orchestra, it was pleasing on the eye, although Seb may feel hard done to be booed when he finally got a touch. Cooper got his hat trick with an audacious long range chip off his left peg for 8-0! and then went nap by smashing home a couple more for 9-0! and 10 (TEN) - 0. FULL TIME!

Not much to say about this game, but it's good to keep another clean sheet and improve on the goal difference, it may yet come in handy. Everyone played well and full credit to Napton for not giving up. They changed keeper at half time and he made one stop from Benno's acrobatic volley that was proper class and any keeper would of been proud of it so well done that man.

No game next week, then cup games up until xmas, it's time to eye up the trophies and the big name scalps...
