The day started of cold and wet, the pitch was in a fair condition.
After the performances over the last 2 matches The Tenth Lock should have been really up for this match however it never happened despite taking the lead on 12 minutes with a goal from Adam Kelly the Tenth Lock never looked in control of the match at all and it was summed up on 14 minutes when Village Dudley scored 1 – 1. Village Dudley dominated the game from this point on and scored 2 quick goals on 27 and 28 minutes 1 – 3. This is how it stayed until half time
Half Time 1 – 3
The second half started as the first half had ended with Village running the game and on 47 minutes they increased the lead further 1 – 4. One of the very few link up moves that had been the trade mark of the Tenths performances over the last 2 games happened on 58 minutes when James McAlister and Craig Hunt split the Village Dudley defence apart with Craig Hunt burying the ball into the back of the net 2 – 4. This could have been the start of the comeback by the Tenth Lock but it never materialised. The hard working Haydon Baker was replaced by Michael Wood on 72 minutes when he suffered a slight hamstring pull. Village Dudley just kept the pressure on and scored on 81 and 87 minutes to leave the final score 2 – 6. This was a very disappointing performance from the Tenth Lock.
Full Time 2 – 6
