The weather was dry and warm with the sun breaking through; however the pitch left a lot to be desired. Both goal mouths looked like ploughed fields.
After the disappointment of losing in the last minute last week Tenth Lock were determined to get back into winning ways and started off in style. The Tenth Lock could have scored several times in the first 10 minutes but the ball and the very poor pitch seemed to frustrate their final effort. This was an all round team performance from The Tenth Lock that frustrated the Dudley Red Cow players to such an extent that they started arguing amongst themselves mid way through the first half. Tenth Lock kept the pressure on Dudley Red Cow but could not breakdown their defence and as such the half time whistle saw both teams without a goal.
Half Time 0- 0
The second half saw the Tenth lock in a positive mood pressing the Dudley Red Cow defence time after time. On 58 minutes The Tenth Lock were awarded a free kick about 25 yards out up stepped man of the match Craig Hunt to release a thunderbolt free kick that screamed into the top corner 0 – 1. The hard working Mike Wood was replaced by Haydon baker on 60 minutes. This was still a very close game Red Cow did try and brought out a world class save from keeper Lee Ledington tipping a certain goal bound shot over the bar just after the hour mark. The Tenth Lock then seemed to be galvanised back into action and a team move on 69 minutes saw Craig Hunt release another thunder bolt that would have beaten any keeper as is flew into the top right hand corner 0 – 2. James Alliband replaced Miles Pitter on 73 minutes. From scoring the second goal the Tenth Lock players dug deep and did not allow Dudley Red Cow any clear scoring opportunities.
