Ty absolutely solid again in goals today and did a great job of clearing the ball when playing at the back with two big clearances
Leo played well at the back against some absolute pace but as usual he managed this within his stride and played his usual high standard.
Luke was always looking for the pass from the back which was nice to see as it adds a bit of what we are going to want to do going forward when under 11s had one huge clearance aswell which set a great attack up in the first half not much he could do about the second goal but his release out is a valuable asset and is used perfectly each time.
Henley had a specific job to do today which is hard at this age to be disciplined enough to stick to the one instruction when his game is the complete opposite he man marked the fast winger pretty much out of the game it showed a really high level of maturity to do such a role.
Arthur had a quieter game than most weeks maybe the change we made impeded his game and we felt the change was necessary to get the result so that one is on us. but his running was non stop and he made some amazing runs his little turn in the middle of the park the second half was brilliant and bamboozled two players which was awesome to see he's adding new skills each week and it's brilliant to see the progress he is making each week.
Jacob some brilliant running today got absolutely hacked about 5 times and it affected his game but rather than running at players he was looking for the pass and this opened them up more than we had done in the first half, The game was the hardest he has played in due to physical challenge in front of him and it had shook him everyone could see but this will be a lesson and one that I know he will overcome and did so later in the second half with his passing inside the last 10 minutes.
Alex played out of position simply because we knew it would be an over physical game today, He put his body on the line and after a few fouls on him seemed to be really up for the game and put in some huge challenges that won the ball, this appeared to work as the players that were fouling didn't like it back and backed right off from him. Chuffed he got his first goal for the team and has a few bruises to show man of the match.
Logan absolutely brilliant like Henley had his instructions to mark the one player out of the game his getting forward and his tracking back was so important to the team but showed immense discipline to stop the urge to bomb forward and cause trouble further forward. 2 assists today shows us exactly how good Logan is and should be really proud today.
Reeve solid at the back with Leo pinged two brilliant balls into the box in the second half which caused big issues, again was up against some over zealous shoulder barging but used his head and moved away from the player rather than getting entangled with them.
Taaj starting to get going again and his tracking back and release down the line was brilliant today lovely little pirouette in the first half to turn away from trouble and release the ball further down field it's great to see.
Levi absolutely made for this game, no one wanted to go near him when he was on due to his presence and big tackles scored the winning goal in the dieing seconds it doesn't get much better than that for a player, would of loved to of gone two in the middle but due to other players on the wings of the other team we had to make some changes.
Really made up for all of the boys to overcome the silly tackles from the other side, and made them pay in the worst possible way with a last minute winning goal
Absolutely everyone who played today had a really important role and that was the most we have played as a team, we had big tackles going in to help out the ones who were getting hit hard, we had group celebrations and we had people doing specific jobs only it worked really well whilst sacrificing our usual style of play.
One part I loved was when Alex scored for obvious reasons but it was the guys who were subs at the time absolutely made up for us to be winning again seeing that is showing such a great bond as they aren't bothered who scores as long as it goes in and the players on the pitch made up that he had scored
And when Levi's shot went in it was like we won the cup final they absolutely loved it and that's what it's all about.
Think I even saw Will do a mourinhoesque run down the line celebration ????
