Away league match played on 23 November 2013.
Kicked off at 3:00 PM

Town made it 1 loss in their last 11 league and cup games on Saturday afternoon when they destroyed Heather St Johns Reserves away from home. Recent performances had threatened this kind of result and Town at last took the chances that came their way. Heather began the game in mid table and on paper it looked another tough test for Town.

Town again began the game fast and settled into their passing game straight away. With only 4 minutes on the clock Town were in front when a second corner in quick succession was headed back across goal from Rich Parry falling nicely for Aiden Ramkissoon to volley home from 6 yards. 0-1. Town continued to dominate and chances came and went once again. A superb in swinging free kick from Hardy was met by the head of Aubrey but he got too much on it from 8 yards and it sailed over. Hardy once again cut in from the left and saw his effort go wide. The move of the first half saw some great work from Silk on the right hand side and his cut back was met by Hardy but the keeper pulled off a fine save to tip it round the post. On 31 minutes Town deservedly went 2 up as again Silk created space on the right leaving the defender on his backside and his ball across the 6 yard line was met by Aubrey to tap into an empty net. 2-0. Town were then guilty of not finishing the opposition off as Heather grew into the game. Town started to give up possession very easily with some sloppy passing and as a result of another misplaced pass Heather pulled one back with a fine strike from the edge of the area. HT 1-2.

Town knew if they played to their potential they were the better side and the second half showed it. On 56 minutes Pullen played the ball through to Aubrey who just beat the keeper to the ball and chipped into an empty net. 1-3. The third goal killed off any fight from Heather as Town began to dominate. On 70 minutes it was 4 as Cossu played a high deep cross from the right which the keeper fumbled under pressure allowing Hardy to volley home his second in as many games. 1-4. Town poured forward and Silk again played some neat football down the right and his cross found Aubrey in space 8 yards out and he made no mistake to complete his hat-trick. Town had chances to add to their tally but it stayed at 5 when the referee put Heather out of their misery and blew for full time. It was the performance of the season from Town as confidence grows but their feet must remain on the ground as a string of tough away league games is on the horizon starting with CK Dons on Saturday followed by top of the table Houghton Rangers. FT Heather 1-5 LTFC.
