Away cup match played on 25 October 2014.

Cathedral met meredith road for the second time running, this time in the cup on a bright but chilly morning. Nobody took initial control of the game as both sides looked very evenly matched. Meredith nearly took the lead, but an outstanding slide tackle from Steven Mcbride ensured they didn't. Cathedral were then very unlucky as Demsey Slater shown strength of an Ox before slotting it past the keeper, only for the ref to award a freekick.
After an evenly matched 11 minutes, Meredith Road took the lead. After losing possession in midfield Meredith Road broke quickly and with a well paced through ball their striker placed the ball past Lee. Cathedral could consider themselves unlucky to be behind.
Muzzy mazed past around 5 players with ronaldinho skills and found his close range shot blocked.
Meredith pushed forwards and nearly made it 2-0 on a couple of occasions within 20 minutes of their opener.
Steve Mcbride played a wonderful ball over the top to Desmey who brilliantly rounded the keeper to then get taken out, which should have seen the keeper sent off. Dan Quinn stepped up to blaze the penalty over the crossbar.
Demsey was involved again as he battled through, to square it to Gareth Drew who then placed the ball into an open net. 1-1. Meredith can not handle Demsey! They keep hitting him hard, it is a matter of time until hes had one to many knocks.
A tough game sees halftime at 1-1, fantastic first half for cathedral.
Half time sub, Will Reilly as a straight swap for Demsey. It was a matter of time due to the constant fouls upon him.
Cathderal started to dominate the match and after a few slick moves were unlucky from a resulting corner as Thomas leaped to head the ball past the keeper which was blocked on the line by the man on the post, extremely unlucky.
Meredith then took the lead to make it 2-1 as their striker shown pace before holding the ball up to strike the ball into the corner of the goal.
Meredith were awarded a penalty as Steve caught the legs of the opponent. Penalty scored, 3-1.
Cathedral nearly made it 3-2 as muzzy jinked past one and hit his close rang shot to close to the keeper who parried the ball out for a corner.
Cathedral soon after conceded 2 more goals from open play. The final score 5-1 to Meredith.
