A vibrant start today provided us with the quickest goal of the season for Deano. I had it timed at under 1.5 minuets, a slick move through the midfield feeding Lee T he in turn crossed to the back stick for Adam S to cut back to big Adam to lay off for a sweet drive into the bottom left corner. Wow

Then we kinda stopped again and it looked like a rerun of the Thundersley game, we took the lead in that game and we lost because we stopped playing. Not only did we do this but we allowed the opponent too much time and space, they profited and it cost us the points and a much deserved win.

The opponent’s goal was a cracker, mainly because we gave them the complete run of the game and didn’t close down a thing then we allowed about 2minuets of time for the striker to line up a long range strike which was unstoppable, as it was moving all over the place Brad had little chance.

Jubilation to well just jubb……We were so poor; no fight, no individual or team desire or passion and poor individual performances. Still better to look forward to in the second half ? Well there was an improvement. We scored a legitimate goal but it wasn’t given, we also created a shed load of opportunities and just were thwarted by an excellent and inspired keeper. Lee B couldn’t slot when put through, Adam S denied by an unbelievable close range shot, Dan S headed wide when free in the box. Plus many others

We then dominated the opponent? Yes but we were playing 10 men for 15 minuets and they still created opportunity. We need to hold the ball more and we need to gather a bit of composure in the box and if lady luck smiles we will score a hat full of goals. We also need to make a little more inroad to the reasons were putting on the breaks on in the game. If we get the advantage keep on the top of it don’t let sub-standard teams get something they don’t deserve.

This is your team your season and your opportunity to build some thing worthwhile, I know we do have 8 new players so we are basically getting to grips with each other but let’s glue up and start dishing out complete performances so we can go home on a Saturday with the right results.

This week’s game break down then looks like this; Pluses are we create a lot, we can raise our game and dominate teams, as a team have great individual technique and quality. Minuses we soft, were without consistency and we are looking to others to do our work.

We have a week of so I’m organising a friendly, In house to work on a few things and also give opportunity to some people to prove their desire, quality and real intent. The 3rds will be no push over’s they have good players and a high confidence and some pride will be at stake. We will need to be focused and together to gain our result.
