Away friendly match played on 02 March 2014.
Kicked off at 1:00 PM

t's a start to a new season as City face Los Chicos S.C in a hot sunny weather on Greenview Secondary. Starting the match with few key players missing in Airul, Gabir, Indra and Zahrul, it added misery when 2 City goalkeepers Amin and Safiuddin are out with injury and commitments.

City announced their new signing Noor, who will be part of City goalkeeping squad. Starting in goal for his official debut in City's 4-5-1 formation, Jelson yet again was given the run at central defence with returning Parry. Hafiz started his second consecutive match since rejoining City at right back, with evergreen Eddy on the left. In midfield, captain for the match Duncan was given a free role behind lone striker Ridwan with Ryan as defensive midfielder while Bob plays as central midfielder and Anon and trialist James providing the wing play.

City started the match showing great touches and teamwork and it was no surprise when they took the lead courtesy of brilliant play. Eddy picks up a loose pass from the opponent looks up and sends a telling pass to Ridwan who cheekily dummies it for Duncan who raced down to put City infront in 6 mins.

Ridwan then had a chance to put City 3 up but only manages to shoot straight at the goalkeeper when he was one on one twice with no pressure.

Los Chicos had a few attempts at City goal but was pretty off target. In the 14th minute, Ridwan make amendments for his miss earlier when he raced clear of his marker to slot in to the back of the net after an excellent wing play by Anon. 2-0.

City thought they were going to have an easy game but had a wake up call by the opponents when they pulled a goal back in the 23rd minute.

City pushes forward, 2 mins later, they restored their 2 goal cushion when Ridwan repays Anon the favour by sending a defence splitting pass which saw the winger finishing with a low shot.

A minute later, Ryan who wins the ball of his opponent send it down to Duncan who scored his second goal of the match.

It was 5 in the 30th minute when James beats the offside trap and went one on one and scored with a simple low pass to the back of the net.

City was not done yet, 3 mins later, Anon make it 6 when James low cross found the winger who slotted it to the bottom cornet of the goal.

City then laid back for the final 7 minutes of the half only for the referee to give a rather soft penalty when subtitute Xavier shoulder charge was seen as an unfair challenge.

Opponent number 18 scored from the spotkick.

Halftime score was 6-2.

City makes one change at halftime with James making way for Hakim. With a change formation of 4-4-2 with Ryan moving to the left and Bob partnering Ridwan up front.

9 mins after the restart, it was 7-2. Anon scored his first City career hattrick when his long shot crept under the arms of the opponent's custodian.

It look to be over but Ridwan and Anon had other ideas. Anon wizardly ran down the wings off Duncan's thru ball, lays off for Ridwan who scored a carbon copy of his first goal whom celebrated with a somersault. 8-2.

Then Ridwan almost provided for Bob. Coming deep in City half and receiving a ball from defence, Ridwan looks up and sent a delighted through ball to Bob but the latter can only shoots to the side netting after rounding off the goalkeeper.

57 min, it was 9-2. Bob latching on from Hakim's wonderful through ball, he finishes off well from close range.

A minute later, Los Chicos pulled a goal back. City switched off at the back and paid dividends as the forward puts it past Noor for their 3rd of the game.

Being switched to the left wing, Ryan had 2 glorious opportunity as well, receiving one great pass from midfield, Ryan can only see his lob grazes over the crossbar. His second effort was the same as his first as he can only shoots over from close range.

2 mins after the hour mark. Anon adds a fourth to his name with a similar goal like his third.

Anon then was replaced by Eddy much to his displeasure.

Soon straight from the whistle, Los Chicos found their 4th. Defence once again switched off and was complacent which saw the forward beat Parry and Noor.

City were just not done yet. From a corner, Eddy caps his wonderful display with a carbon copy of the goal he scored against Triple X United when he headed the ball of Duncan's wicked cross.

Opponents managed to keep City at bay and final score was 11-4 in favour of City.

Ridwan commented after the match,"History have been re-written. I still remember the highest number of goals scored in the 8-7 win against TGA Buffalos. Now it's 11-4. We played with full confidence and full of energy. The lads were awesome. James showed potential beating players as if they weren't there. Anon was exceptional. 4 goals and a couple of assist surely has put in a performance of his life. Duncan showed why we missed him during the 3-3 draw with Jungfrau. Definitely the orchestrator of the team. This is the team now. With Gabir playing his final match for Boca last Sunday, this team is one to watch when the season officially kicks off in April."
