Callum enjoys a Morris Dance while Cubbington Prove to be Pants!!!

Callum seemed surprisingly jovial despite his threats to Captain Paul Wilkinson the previous night.  To be thrown out of a car and abused by a team mate the night before a big game could have ruined Wilkos confidence but Callum made it up to him by giving him a rendition of his famous Morris dancing during the warm up.

We started the game brightly with Wilko notching with his first touch only for the Lino to flag for the first of his 26.2million offside decisions that day.  Cubbington had the best of the first 20 minutes and I have to say they have proved to be liveliest team we have played so far.  They backed this up by taking the lead with a strike to the bottom corner for 0-1.

After settling down and starting to play Moses latched onto a through ball from Lee to tap home for the equaliser – 1-1.  Soon after a Wilko strike rebounded off the keeper and Big Moses kept his cool to lash home his second for 2-1.

A penalty was won by Wilko shortly before half time and after being given penalty duties 5 minutes before kick off Ando stepped up and finished for 3-1.  Half time arrived and we had to talk about changing things as Lee had forgotten his inhaler and was out of breath.  Stevie Burns returned to the team and looked lively throughout.  Another Ando penalty just after half time made the game more comfortable and the introduction of Nick and Matty added even more spark to the game.

Cubbington still piled on the pressure and they kept the game going, but substitute Nick wrapped the win up with 15 minutes to go after breaking free down the right hand side and smashing past the keeper for 5-1.  Brilliant stuff from everyone…….next stop – GLASGOW!!!

Que Sara!!!
