SUPER RADFORD GO BALLISTIC – BISHOPS ARE ATROCIOUS!!!
For the third time this season we demolished Bishops Itchington with this result taking us through to the next round of the Cancer Cup. After a terrible first half we led 1-0 through a well taken goal from Ando who has now netted in each of his last three appearances. Despite the poor showing from us in the first half there has to be some credit given for leading at half time. The sign of a good team is one that can win badly. I think we can put the performance down to some of the guys forgetting which sport we were playing as Ando tried to play Rugby and Wilko thinking he was in a boxing ring.
The second half proved a much better affair with Lee squeezing home a loose ball for 2-0. Callum who had made a number of runs down the right flank squared for Wilko shortly after who fired home for 3-0. Matty returned from his fork lift injury which seems to have changed him dramatically. This was proved when he went a mazy dribble and passed……..for Lee to strike perfectly only for the Bishops defender to produce a stunning save resulting in a penalty which Dave tucked away for a 4-0 lead.
Moses was brought on for 15 minutes and he got in the way of a Wilko shot only for the ball to bounce off his knee and trickle into the net for 5-0. We asked the boys to go out and make sure we won and they did just that. Bishops seem to have created this local rivalry between the two teams which is fuelled by comments on the sidelines. As long as we keep doing our talking on the pitch though boys!!!!
