(Match report)
Only 61 minutes was played in this fixture and the rest of the game had to be stopped due to bad weather reasons. According to X-league rules & regulations, the result of a match will stand if more than 20mins of the 2nd half of a match (60mins) has been played should a match be stopped due to bad weather or any other valid reasons.
Everyone looked sharp and was determined to get maximum points from the opponent whom they have yet met, however the bad conditions of the pitch was the only thing to be worried about.
Despite the controversial loss the previous week, MWFC was on good form today, held a good amount of possession and had numerous of power plays that were too much for Freak Warriors to handle.
Just 15 minutes into play, Gerald found the net with a fabulous shot that was almost unstoppable and MWFC never looked back since. Gerald's performance was astonishing and he picked up another goal just minutes after the first. MWFC went on with much dominance and continue its fine performance throughout the first half. Alex whom was subbed in due to an injury occured by Weihao sent MWFC to a 3 goals lead after converting Edwin's curling freekick.
Just minutes before halftime, MWFC captain, PC was caught sleeping at the back and Freak Warrior managed tconvert the beautifully placed through-pass into the back of the net.
First half ended with the result of 3-1.
Shawn's beautifully placed freekick placed MWFC in a comfortable 3 goals margin and everything was right on track for Wolves' second victory in the season. However there was a turn in events when the weather seems to be getting bad with the skies turning dark. Freak Warrior again managed to sneak into the defense and scored their second before the game was eventually called off due to bad weather (lighting & heavy rain)
Gerald Ting was credited the man-of-match with his outstanding performance, he could have gotten a few more but nevertheless was obviously the best player on the pitch today, and he is only sixteen!
Once again, MWFC proved that they still have much to be shown after today's brilliant performance. Lets maintain this spirit & form and continue to get results!
