This is the first ever tournament that be joined by KPJ Penang FC since its inception on 2019. The tournament is called Pertandingan 4 Penjuru organized by Team Veteran BM. This tournament involving four teams and will played by team on two matches each team. After the draw, team will facing IPD Kepala Batas as first challenge and is the match played today.
Coach Jason put his best man for this match as team be lead by Afif for this tournament. Games start well by team with try to control the game more than their opponent in order to secure first goal. As under tournament regulation, which team score the goal first, that team will win even the scoreline at the end of the game ended draw.
KPJ Penang FC effort is fruitful as team manage to get the wanted early goal by right hand side corner kick by Renu is been done with goal by Yo who tap in the ball to make the KPJ Penang FC lead the game. This early goal is proved as a advantage as team successfully put some pressure, physically and most important the opponent`s mental as they quite loss in order to search the equalizer. Team faced a worried moment as team central defender, Faiz has a collision which hit his knee, however no serious injury by him as he manage to continue the game. Team manage to fend and doing well by keep pressure IPD and lead the game until half time.
For the second half, team made few substitution by bringing in Boy, Iman and Peijal replacing Nuri, Shukri and Azzali in order to tidy up the defender line and try to use fast player like Iman to provide some good and fast defensive for the second half. The move is successful as a few minutes after second half started team scored again. This time by Achik who manage to deceiving IPD defender to score second goal for team. This is the result from Peijal long kick from defensive line assist by Achik speed to trick the defenders.
IPD which is not give up just yet shows another side of their team by started playing fast and quite aggressive against team by showing their speed and robustness in their quest to get a goal. KPJ Penang FC made final substitute by replacing Achik with Zulot. This changes didn`t halt IPD efforts to find a goal as they finally close the deficit by a header goal from corner kick.
With the score 2-1 for both team, KPJ Penang FC quite losing their focus within last minutes of the game as IPD keep attacking fiercely. One mistake by KPJ Penang FC defender`s, Boy let the IPD`s striker to shoot long range kick successfully deceiving team`s keeper, Hazwan to get the equalizer.
IPD efforts however is too late as final whistle blown away by referee didn`t stop KPJ Penang FC walked into final match as team get the early goal courtesy by Yo. This is the best moment of joy as team keep fighting until the end even though some players already loss their focus into final minutes need to be taken care tentatively for the final match. For the final match, team will face against Desa Aman FC who fend off the challenge by host team, Team Veteran BM to a goalless match and match conclusion be decided by coin toss which is favor Desa Aman FC.
