Crawley Panthers under 14’s Blue sponsored by S&N Tyres of Three Bridges continued their 100% winning start to the season in all competitions by putting 15 goals past a highly spirited and never say die St Francis Rangers from Haywards Heath.
After both sets of teams, officials and supporters observed a two minute silence for remembrance Sunday, Panthers went to work raking up six goals within the first eleven minutes through a Jermaine Beer hat trick, a Seika Jatta brace and a well placed Sam Truelove header direct from his brother Jake’s throw in.
Two further first half goals before the break from Jobe Wolfe and league top scorer Jordan L’etendrine ensured a comfortable barrier allowing Panthers to try out different tactics and positions.
The start of the second half mirrored the first with some excellent pass and move football confining the visitors in their half with the midfield partnership of Edwin Murahwa, Hayden Bulloch, and Jean Moutein rarely allowing the ball to travel near keeper Robbie Legg, defenders Ben Rogers, Sam & Jake Truelove and Will Bateup, this allowed further goals from Wolfe, Beer, Jatta and L'etendrine (2).
With two minutes to go, Brendan Milborrow added to his season’s impressive goal tally by launching a screamer from just outside the area leaving the keeper stranded. Not to be outdone, Jatta scored his forth of the game with a thunder bolt close to the centre circle nearly taking the net off in the process.
Panthers now have nine wins out of nine in all competitions, 88 goals scored, four conceded, and still top of the league, oh happy days!
