MATCH
For this top of the table clash on a rainy Monday night as usual the squad met a at Brucie Headquarters, boosted by the return of William Brown. The Squad then departed in the cree-mobile for pitch 3.
Forsyth we blessed with the Presence of Phillip "Ginger Tossor" Dixon, (the nickname given after a Beer mat found on one of the many squad team building exercise's) on the sideline doing the trusty timings of substitues.
Dixon was heard on the sideline signing beautiful renditions of Annie... Tomorrow, tomorrow, i love ya, its only a day awayyyyyyyy.
This boosting the Moral of the team geering up for the clash.
The match kicked off with a rapid pace with both teams going for the opener in front of the biggest crowd this season.
First blood came to the home team when after a good move found the striker to finnish neatley into the corner of the net.
Forsyth then seemed to fall to sleep as they found themselves quickly two behind with a good curling shot, crabtree and brown tried to close down the shot but curled round them, Reeves did get a hand to it but went in off the post.
Dixon on the sideline belted out Annie again to lift the away team, and thats exactly what it did, Purvis picked the ball up played a one two with Brennan, then ran ran at the last two defenders another quicker one two with Brennan followed then squared back to the latter and Brennan made no mistake, smashing the ball past the helpless kitten.
The half time break came at relief for the home team as Borussia had started to trouble them.
The second half kicked off with Borussia seemingly back to there normal selves as quick attacking moves we only kicked away from the House of Love goalkeeper, leading to shouts of abuse by his own team.
Every attack from the impressive HOL team were thrawted by the Borussia Defence of Brown and Snedden, D Jeffrey started to smash a few trademark tackles in, and anywhat came near him, shouts from Brother M Jeffrey were heard "its ok he'll be a gonner in a minute Dean will ave him back".
Crabtree started some sharp moves and was lucky to still have a leg left after a high tackle from HOL midfielder.
Somewhat against the run of play the house of love extended there lead when out of nowhere the striker doubled his tally with a screemer from 20 yards leaving "the cat" no chance.
Instead of heads going down Forsyth hit straight back when D Jeffrey deservedly go his name on the score sheet, when he found space between two players and poked the ball past the keeper just before the area.
The last minutes were Borussia Forsyth looking for the all important equaliser but unfortunately didnt get that all inportant chance as the HOL defence held out.
Borussia should hold there heads high in there 1st defeat and bounce back like top team do with a win next week.
