The mighty blues of Boots Wednesday claimed revenge over Law School with a deserved victory. Boots took the lead inside a minute when Luke Bradley shrugged off his marker and powered in a header from plucky Prescott's long throw! The rest of the first half was very open and Law School were guilty of missing a handful of one-on-one chances, before Boots added a second when Prescott's through-ball was missed by the defenders andJohn Duke slipped the ball under the keeper for his first Wednesday goal.
Boots controlled the second half but could only add one more goal due to some great blocks from the Law School keeper, who denied Prescott, Bradley and Duke on numerous occasions. Andrew Griffin was booked for a rugby tackle, before Chris Ball finally added the third with a fantastic solo effort, latching on to Burton's pass, twisting through four challenges and curling the ball into the top left corner.
Pete chose Matthew Prescott for MOM after a determined effort on the wing, while the opposition also highlighted Sam Burton's energetic battling in midfield.
