Away league match played on 13 February 2010.
Kicked off at 10:00 AM

On a chilly fresh morning the Buffalos played their first match in over 2 months. We were without Lewis and Josh W, who were sunning themselves in Florida, so, everybody was hoping that the boys could explode out of the blocks quickly and carry on their rich vein of form and they didn't disappoint!

From the KO they broke the Royals 1st attack down and dominated the half creating chance after chance and deservedly taking the lead after 5 minutes. Ellis and Josh G strong at the back broke down the Royals attack and with some good play by Dan and Riley opened the way for Jordan to shoot and score in the top left corner, off the post.

The Buffalo's kept pressing and it wasn't long before Rhys was put through and he calmly slotted the ball into to bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance, to make it 2.

Louie in goal was having a quiet game, not having to make a save, but dealt well with clearing a few back passes and kicking some good long drop/goal kicks.

A third goal was imminent and it came from a quick throw-in by Jake to Rhys who turned his man and played the ball into Dan, who rifled the ball into the back of net.

3-0 at half time and a pleased Milton and Rob praised the boys and asked for the same of them in the 2nd half and Lauren to get the teas in!

The Royals came out in the second half with more purpose, no doubt after being read the riot act by their Manager.
This wasn't to deter the mighty Buffalo's who carried on where they left off, creating chances and fighting for every ball as if their life depended on it (or a Hot Dog at the van after the match!).

10 minutes in and Rhys chased a ball down the right launching a ball into the middle. With the help of the wind, the ball sailed into the top right hand corner leaving the stunned Royals Keeper wondering what had happened.

Riley (who was playing with a cricked neck), Jake, Jordan and Dan were breaking down most of the Royals play and anything that did get past them was swept up by Josh G and Ellis.

Goal no. 5 came again from the right; Rhys playing a ball into the middle which was neatly curled round the advancing keeper by Jordan, to make it no 2 for him.

Credit must go to the Royals who never gave up in the 2nd half and with the advancing Buffalo's leaving themselves short at the back let their striker in. Louie saved well from the 1st two attempts but couldn't keep out the 3rd.

The Referee blew the Final whistle shortly after and the Buffalo's celebrated a 5-1 victory.

Credit must go to all of the boys today after such a long lay off. They played some good football, battled well and worked well as a team!

MOTM went to Josh G who was outstanding at the back with Ellis, defending well, making some good forward runs from the back and making some exceptional headers.
