Outstanding performance from the boys today beating a very good side at their own passing game. You came from behind twice and scored the winner before they put their first team back on the pitch for the final 7 minutes. Even with that, you held your ground and came out winners. Our defence was solid with John and Louis working well together and 3 more goals from our very attcking midfield. Highlights follow:
1 min - Marley collects ball on the right and passes inside to Callum to Ryan who shoots, keeper saves for corner on right.
2 mins - !!GOAL!! LW attack down their left and pass intom the box, defended by John for corner on left. Taken and not cleared and LW score after goal mouth scramble
4 mins - Corner to LW on the left taken collactede by Bradley
5 mins - Corner on the right hand side after George collected the ball on the left, passed into Callum to Marley whose shot was deflected wide
6 mins - !!GOAL!! George wins the ball on the left, turns and plays inside to Ryan. Ryan looks up and threads a ball throught to Marley who turns his defender and places the ball underneath the keeper for the AS equaliser
7 mins - Callum with the ball on the right wing, plays to Marley who darts past his defender and crosses into the box where the keeper collects and then spills. Keeper passes out to Callum who intercepts to Marley to Calum who shoots; deflected for corner
8 mins - LW attack down their left again but Louis defends well for a throw in. Taken and the ball played into the box, Bradley tips it away to George who puts it behind for a corner to LW on the right.
9 mins - !!SAVE!! John plays the ball through to Marley who shoots, saved by the keeper to Ryan who shoots, deflected to Callum who shoots wide. Adam on for Callum
12 mins - !!GOAL!! LW attack with great football down their right hand side, cross into the box and the balls finds it way into the net.
13 mins - LW attack and cross but the ball is defended by John to Ryan to Marley who runs into the box and the ball is defended for a corner on the left to be taken by George.
14 mins - Ryan receives the ball and takes it round 3 defenders and passes to Adam in space but Adam is unable to control the ball.
16 mins - Ryan goes on a super run from middle to left and he shoots into the side netting. Almost a boing boing boing moment!
18 mins - Adam receives the ball, turns shoots saved by the keeper.
20 mins - LW attack saved by Bradley
Half time
22 mins - Ryan collects the ball in midfield, moves across the pitch to the right and shoots just wide.
23 mins - !!GOAL!! John wins the ball and plays to Ryan to Shane on the left, now Shane with space who crosses and out from the distant far right comes George to smash the ball into the back of the net and the boing boing boing is on!
24 mins - LW attack down the middle and Louis defends well
25 mins - LW attack down their right and the shot comes in, saved by Bradley
30 mins - LW corner on their left defended by Louis.
31 mins - !!SAVE!! Free kick to the AS on the right hand side 10 yards back and in line with the penalty box. John takes and shoots, great save by the keeper to deny John a cracker.
32 mins - Louis playing high up the pitch now and when LW attack he smashes the ball miles and miles down the pitch - has than landed yet??
34 mins - Corner to AS on the right hand side - George to take defended.
36 mins - !!GOAL!! Oh what a goal it was too. After a third consecutive corner to the AS on the right, LW thought they had cleared but Marley chased down the ball, won it, crossed to Ryan who gets a deserved goal and maybe the winner for the AS
Now then, 4 first teamers about to enter the fray for LW who I guess are not used to losing - can the AS hold on?
38 mins - Corner to LW on the right defended.
40 mins - Corner to LW on the left, defended and the AS break but the ball goes out of play.
41 mins - Corner to LW on their right, defended easily and the AS pump the ball away.
43 mins - Finally the final whistle is blown and the boys have gone beserk with a well deserved win against a class side
