On a cold wet Sunday morning in front of a small crowd the Don were looking to bounce back after last weeks shocker.
It was a very slow start to the game and the Don and didn't really get going until twenty mins into the game when a knock down by Jake was well struck by Terry only for his shot to crash against the foot of the post with the keeper beaten.
Moments later it was the Don under threat,a ball played through was missed by the defence and allowed there forward through on goal one on one with Steve but the resulting shot was well saved. Park09 again came at the Don and a ball down our right caught Lee out with there winger clear to cross in it was a great re-covering block by Lee to get back in. The resulting corner was headed clear by Bushy and the played on by Greeny to Stepho who hit a wonderful lob to beat there keeper a well taken goal.

Park 09 then put the Don under pressure with several chances being spurned, one of there best when a cross was whipped in from our right was missed by our defence and then followed suit with two of there forwards missing the ball one only a yard out with an open goal. The Don managed to get to half time with there lead in tact.

The second half kicking up hill against the wind and rain we knew it would be hard to keep a good Park 09 at bay. There were few chances for the Don in the second half which was largly dominated by Park 09, there first really clear cut chance was when there midfielder was clear through but hit a tame effort straight to Steve in the net.
Moments later the Don weren't so lucky when the Dons midfield was bypassed again and there midfielder was left in acres of space with our defence backing off he lined up a shot and hit a thunderbolt of a shot into the top corner what a strike!! the equaliser.

Moments later the ref gave Park 09 a free kick on the edge of the area as one of there players fell over, he lined up and struke it perfect into the top corner but a world class save from Steve in goal tipped it over the bar. From the two resulting corners two great clearing headers by Lee & Ben kept them at bay.
With the Don trying to force there way into the game a great team move ended up with Stepho just chipping a shot over. Again Park09 forced the Don into a mistake, Bushy dwelling on the ball in the area was tackled and there forward was clean through and blasted a shot on target with a great save by Steve again but the ball rebounded to there forward who vollied it, the ball crashed against the cross bar, the ball fell to there winger who's shot was well blocked by Matt Phillips.
With time ticking away the don looked to have done enough but again there left winger got behind our defence a hit a powerful shot goal bound but was tipped round the popst by Steve, they were really putting the Don under pressure, from the reulting corner the ball was well cleared by Lee who won the header.
Finally the ref blew up, it wasn't a great performance but a lot of effort went into the game. A hard faught a well earned point against a solid Park team.
