Away league match played on 20 February 2011.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

The Don's running streak was brought to an end with a bump!!! The match was never going to be a great specticle as the pitch was so boggy. The Pot started the brighter and pushed the Don back but it was the Don who had the first chance, the ball was played through to Jake who was clean through but his lob was well saved by there keeper. Moments later the Don was caught out, the ball down there left wasn't cleared by Lee and allowed there forward in round the back of the Don. The cross came in but Steve on the boggy slipped and couldn't get enough purchase on the cross leading to a simple tap in by there forward.

1 - 0

Again the Don didn't really come into the game but had the better of the chances with Stepho just hitting over from close range. Again the Pot hit the Don on the break, straight through the middle of the park and there forward was through on goal but Lee chopped him down pen! the resulting pen was well saved by Steve but nobody followed the ball in and it led to an easy finish for there forward who just slotted it home!

2 - 0

Now being out played the Don forced a bit of pressure on to the Pot and a cornor swung in was well met by Dom at the back post and looked like he'd scored but was well saved by there keeper. With half time getting closer the Don looked the more likely team to score but again poor tracking back led to the Pot attacking again and from 20 yards out there right winger had so much time to shoot there was nobody closing him down and he just picked his spot, what a great strike into the top corner.

Half Time

After a good half time team talk from Lee the Don came out looking much better but still not on top form, The Pot still looked dangerous on the attack, they had a long range strike whihc was headered clear by Elvis. The Don did get chance to get on the score sheet when there defender handled the ball in the area and we was awarded a pen, up stepped Stepho but it was saved by there kepper, but Stepho was the first to react and slotted home.

3 - 1

The Don then started to show there qualities having much more of the ball, and a great run by Elvis down the left layed the ball back to Stepho who lashed the ball in gave the Don a great chance to get back into the game.

3 - 2

The Don did look the more likely to score and Lee made a change for the exhausted Dom, on came Terry. With the Don pushing on the Pot caught us out at the back and there forward was clean through only to be saved by Steve, again the don pushed on and confusion in there defence nearly let Jake in but it just ran through to there keeper, again Pot pushed to finished the game off but were being kept to long range efforts, one of which was well saved by Steve to his right but it was all about to change, Terry decided to try and dribble the ball out of the defence, his pass was straight to there winger who hit a strong shot it was going in but covered by Steve untill 8 yards out there forward ran in an manged to get his head on in, diverting it into the other corner, Steve wrong footed Four Two, is it all over!!

4 - 2

With the game looking over the final two subs were made  trying to find a way though, but the remaining ten mins went by without any great chance to talk of only a last ditch tackle by Matt in the box to clear a great chance fro the Pot

Final Score The Pot 4 AFC DON JOHN 2

Lets hope its a lot better next week!
