More about the team
Terling Villa FC was formed in 2012 after the Great Notley Mens team relocated to Terling and changed its name. Prior to the name change, Great Notley had competed for three seasons in the Braintree & North Essex Sunday League.
The team enjoyed a great 2011/12 season finishing 4th in the League and winning the League Cup.
In 2012/13 season Villa again made it to the League Cup Final, but lost 2-0 in a tight game. They had better fortune in the league finishing 2nd and gaining promotion to Division 2.
2013/14 season saw Terling Villa reach and win two cup finals, thrashing Witham Galaticos 5-1 in the Malcolm Foy Memorial Trophy and then beating the same team 2-0 after extra time in the League Cup. The team were again promoted when a 4th place league finish was deemed high enough to take them up.
