The Sheffield United Girls RTC U16 team is a youth football team based in Sheffield, England. The team competes in the FA Girls' England Talent Pathway league, which is the highest level of youth football in England for girls aged 16 and under.
The team was founded in 2016 and has quickly become one of the most successful youth football teams in England. In their first season, the team won the FA Girls' Regional Talent Club Championship. They have also won the FA Girls' U16 National Cup in 2018 and 2020.
The team is made up of some of the best young female footballers in England. Many of the players have gone on to play for the England national team. The team is coached by Mark Sampson, who is also the head coach of the England women's national team.
FA Girls' England Talent Pathway league
The FA Girls' England Talent Pathway league is the highest level of youth football in England for girls aged 16 and under. The league is divided into three divisions: the Northern, Midlands, and Southern divisions.
The top four teams from each division qualify for the FA Girls' U16 National Cup. The cup is a knockout competition, with the final being played at St. George's Park, the national football training ground of England.
The FA Girls' England Talent Pathway league is a great opportunity for young female footballers to develop their skills and play against the best competition in England. The league has helped to produce some of the best players in the England women's national team, including Lucy Bronze, Steph Houghton, and Karen Carney.
