The club was founded in 1896 and has played in a variety of leagues over the years, including the Southern League, the Midland League, and the National League North. They have won the Southern League Premier Division twice, in 2008-09 and 2014-15.
Corby Town have a long-standing rivalry with Wellingborough Town, with whom they contest the Steel City derby. They also have a rivalry with Kettering Town.

The Ishmen League Midlands is a football league in England. It is the second tier of the Ishmen League, below the Ishmen League Premier Division. The league was formed in 2019 as part of the restructuring of the non-League pyramid.
The league currently consists of 18 teams. The top two teams at the end of the season are promoted to the Ishmen League Premier Division. The bottom two teams are relegated to the Ishmen League Division One.
The current champions of the Ishmen League Midlands are Chasetown.
