Away league match played on 19 July 2010.
Kicked off at 7:20 AM

Ruthless Zion FC hammered Rubber Chickens 10-0 despite having already secured the title. David Jones scored five, as Powell grabbed a hat-trick and Shotton scored his 100th Zion goal.

Nothing to play for and no win required, Zion fans could be forgiven for expecting an exhibition match with little desire shown. They could not have been more wrong however, as the Lions roared into action. The first half saw five goals, and some great goalkeeping from Steve Winter who made his 150th appearance for Zion. The highlights were Shotton's opener, bagging his 100th Zion FC goal. Celebrations were rather exhuberant as he saluted his adoring public. Powell also reached a milestone by scoring his 350th Zion goal. A moment of magic from Tommy Powell, stole the limelight however, as he started a run just inside the Chickens half. He mazed his way through all four outfield players before rounding the keeper and tapping home. That goal secured his hat-trick as Zion outplayed their opponents.

The second half continued in the same vain with relentless forward pressure coming from the Zion players. Jones scored  four second half goals. The best of which was a series of one-two's with Powell which became almost comical, before he tapped home. The Rubber Chicken's knew they were being outclassed and they showed grace in the manner they fell. Steve Winter was forced into several long range efforts, but little that tested the veteran stopper. The four outfield players of Tony Dain, Shotton, Jones, and Powell were simply too good. Their passing and their movement was first class and it was little surprise that all players featured on the scoring and assisting charts. 10-0 really did show the full extent of the gulf in class between the sides, and perhaps Zion were unlucky not to win by a greater margin. As they continue their winning run, one wonders, when will this great form end?

The post game media circles were all debating whether this Zion team was the greatest to have graced the Premier League. Tommy Powell however, was keen to emphasise the need to keep the sides feet on the ground, "It has been a great season with some fantastic football, but we must not get over-excited. We have won back to back titles and that marks us down in the history books, but to be considered the greatest, we have to dominate for season after season for a sustained period. We will face tougher tests next season, which we must rise to, without believeing that we have a divine right to win." Tony Dain sympaphised with The Rubber Chickens after the game, "We were great tonight, and 10-0 is obviously a hammering but I have to pay tribute to the Chickens who lost with dignity and that is a breath of fresh air in this league. They didn't give up and played with smiles on their faces. They look like they'll struggle to stay in this league, but I'm sure they'll bounce back." Zion's next test is against relegation fighters Gullens Specials. The Lions currently hold a 100% record as they have now won fifteen on the spin, and they have opened up a thirteen point gap at the top of the league.
