Against a individually skilful and youthful Aguilas, UN1TED set the tone with experience and gd passing movement. 10mins in, Jason stole e ball off the left back and curled in from outside the box...1-0!
Ayub who had a fine game thruout then saw his left footer hit the crossbar but Shaheer was on hand to control and coolly slot home...2-0!
Aguilas had a gd match no doubt but lacked the cutting edge finish. A freekick curled over the wall and was goalbound till Muizz dived and gathered it safely.
UN1TED then made it 3 nil with no doubt the goal of the match. Brilliant tackle down the right by Suresh released Vinod who laid off to Shaheer who saw Raman make his run spot on to latch onto that thru ball and coolly slot it beyond the onrushing keeper...with applauds from the opponents themselves.
Vinod then assisted Ayub for the 4th with his trademark long throw right in for Ayub to nudge his back header in... 4-0!
2nd half begun with UN1TED knowing what to expect as they tend to shut off midway and it happened as expected....bearing the heat and energy of Aguilas, Sathia, Ayub and newly elected Vice captain Andy all taking turns to clear off the lines.
Aguilas did get their 1st goal from a penalty which Muizz guessed right but missed his glove by inches. 4-1
If they had to beat Muizz today, they had to do something special and it took a step over and fine shot to beat him as Aguilas made it 4-2 with 3 quarters of the 2nd half left...
Experience won the day as UN1TED slowed e pace down and controlled the match and thus qualifying for the next round with a game in hand.
