Nobods 7 – 4 Totemic
The reserves sent Christian Peta to the First team on the morning of the game, Losing Aiden James to work commitments, Cadders was richer than he thought and had now been 3 weeks counting his money . Surprisingly “Mr reliable” Chris Lord got so drunk the night before he was unable to play meaning Wally Had to break his promise to Luke Bristow and put him back into CB.
Totemic turned up with 10 men which didn’t help the Nobody cause as a lot of the lads thought they had won the game before it kicked off. The back 6 moved the ball around well but there was not a lot of movement from a few of the front players meaning a lot of possession was wasted early on.
Eventually Totemic goal came when power lost the ball and the totemic midfielder just ran through the defence rounded Turbo and put them 1-0 up, it was very quickly 2-0 when a free kick went all the way through and ended up being tapped in at the back post.
This woke Nobody up, Power had a glorious chance but fluffed his lines, Probert had a penalty shout, Jacko shot wide, Fabio ran with the ball and had no end product, Totemic defended really well Nobods couldn’t break through, another chance fell to Luczak and Probert shot over as Nobods couldn’t take advantage, but it was becoming when and not if.
Just before half time Dixon reacted to a keeper mistake and blasted home a rebound to take the pressure off, 2-1 AT half time
Straight after half time Luczak made it 2-2 with a neat finish and all of a sudden the dynamic changed, Alan hill who came on at half time and was fantastic supplying an option for defenders and strikers were running in behind, all of a sudden Dixon was at it again and arrived late in the day from a corner to make it 3-2 and very quickly 4-2 two back post headers for the lad scoring his first Hat-trick for the club, Adam hart the club hero of many seasons gave Dicko a deserved rest after his Heroic antics, Power who was vastly improved in the second half smashed one home before himself getting subbed off for the Gaffa.
Hilly played the ball of the game to Luczak who scored again to add to his season tally. Bristow and Probert both missed headed chances to add more to the tally. Luczak missed a chance for his hat-trick by blasting at the keeper, but it was all Nobods at this a point. Nobods took their foot off again and Totemic scored twice in the end meaning Nobods had to think going into the last few minutes, The last kick of the game was Liam Probert’s who flicked into the net from a corner to get his 3rd of the season, Bristow was fuming.
At the end of the game it was job done and maybe Totemic felt hard done by but Nobods marched on and other result mean Nobody go back top.
