I think I speak for both of us (Conor & myself) when we say that was tough work today. Emotionally wrecked. However you all showed great teamwork for each other, commitment and heart. Great discipline shown in the second half and No one shied away from their duty. Great to see everyone keen to get on the ball and have it at their feet. The red cards again a disappointment, not even from the point of this match but we had targeted two wins v the teams around us and means we have 3 players suspended most likely for these games with a squad that is bare enough. Really well done to all today. 55min with 9 men is a tough ask and you managed it. Huge 3pts towards staying in the league. Next game should be easy when we have 11 (at the start of the game anyway ??)
Alex 8.5 - nearly everyone on the team seems to be able to play in goal now. Great solid performance. Caught so many crosses and relieved the pressure when needed most. Even when he was carrying an injury
Sean 8.5 solid performance. Passes at time maybe a bit rushed and not completely accurate. But rarely beaten by his man and offered himself as an outlet
Matty 9 composed performance at the back. Very calm and reassured on the ball. Some vital blocks and last ditch defending. Him and Mark great partnership.
Mark 8.5 cb not his natural position but played great. Always looking for the ball and comfortable when playing the ball out from the back. Won some important headers
Archie 8.5 like Sean another solid performance. Beaten once or twice down the outside but always made it back to get the tackle in. Some great challenges one in particular to block a shot on target
Paul 6.5 score reflects playing only approx 40min. Was comfortable in midfield and always looking for the ball. Was controlling midfield with Conor. Also offered great support to back four. Rush of blood seen red cars challenge.
Aido 8.5 great work rate up and down the leftside. Took a Gamble for his goal and paid off. A Torn in their side on the left. Linked well with midfield. Put in a shift today
Conor f 8 was pretty much in line for motm with performance today. Was a warrior in midfield and didn't give their midfield a second on the ball. Really upset their rhythm and as a result they could get no momentum. Red card only blemish in performance (even if it was a bit harsh)
Liam 6.5 first yellow for a few silly late challenges. Once he got the first card monread targeted Liam and worked. Red was again a lack of self control. Even if it was a reaction to been kicked by one of their players the ref wasn't going to need much encouragement to give the cards
Ben 8.5 another consistent performance. Heavily involved in first goal. Dropped when needed to collect the ball. Rarely lost the ball and showed huge grit and determination when having to play in midfield due to red cards. On occasions too vocal in a negative way towards teammates.
Aero 8.5 put in a huge shift today. Done exactly what was asked of him from being our lone front man. Took the goal well linking well with Ben. Involved in second too, taking shot on early. Couldn't ask for much more. Played well when moved to right wing when we needed. Hopefully keep the scoring run going
Neil 7.5 (on for Sean 60min) didn't give an inch when coming on. Manned his side well and monread produced very little. Played some good balls over the top. Would of been far more effective had we had a man up top
Rob 7.5 (on for Aero 75min) brought a fresh pair of legs to the side. Looking for the ball over the top. Didn't desert his defensive duties either.
