The harriers came out fighting and had a lot of the play early on, Ian pulled off a few great saves to keep it level.
The Harriers took a 1-0 lead when a ball was played through the back four where their no.9 went around the oncoming keeper and finished with ease.
But we seemed to wake up after around 10mins and started to get our game going. We were well on top when the Harriers broke through; beat the keeper only for Dan to clear off the line injuring himself in the process. He kept us in the game 2-0 down would have left us struggling. You could say this was the turning point in the game!!
Dan came off and Lewis (who was unlucky not to start) came on and slotted into central midfield, Neil moving to right back.
We kept the pressure on and were rewarded when a corner came in from the left, cleared to the edge of the area and Super Sub Lewis fired home from 20 yards.
After settling down at 1-1, Jim and Dave came more into the game as there was so much space on the wings. Adam was leading the line well and his flick to Kaylem gave us our second, Kaylem shot into the bottom left corner clinical finish 2-1.
The Harriers were all over the place, arguing with each other and gaps started to appear. Adam again involved with some great hold up play, spreading the ball out to Dave on the right who travelled with the ball and scored from the edge of the area.
3-1 at Half time
We knew the second half was going to be hard, the heat was unbearable and the ground sapped the energy out of you. The Harriers got back on top and were pressing hard; they had several chances before a defensive error put them in to score 3-2.
We made a change and Liam came on for Hugo into midfield, fresh legs helped and we had a few chances to score and put the game out of reach. The Harriers had the better of the second half and Danny came on for Neil to sure up the back and The Millers held on for the win.
All of you were amazing and the perfect way to end the season.
Well done fellas – now just one last battle to get us up into Div 2.
