On a damp Mildenhall Afternoon the nearly new team entertained Ramsey, Town started the game with 8 players as a few were delayed, they performed outstanding to limiting the score to 0-2 for about 20 mins until the rest of the players arrived. We did then concede a third from a fluke when the keeper punched the ball onto a defender that rolled over the line to make it 0-3 HT
We changed a few things and never looked back we passed the ball to feet all over the pitch, kept the ball and every boy showed on his face how much they were enjoying along with determination. They were becoming a team, all the training was paying off. They played Ramsey off the park in the second half and limited them to a couple of chances with long balls. Ryan Day pulled a goal back with a brave challenge on the keeper after a through ball for the ever impressive Joe Kelly. Dan Ryan had an awesome game all over the pitch winning challenges and headers. Ryan Day then crossed for Josh Lopez to slot home his first for the club to bring the score back to just 1 behind. Ben Smith, Sam Williams and were having a commanding game at the back, and with Dion, Will, Andy and Jack running themselves into the ground. along with Rob and Kalem, Todd did well when he came on in goal. Town with all their pressure and against a fantastic Ramsey keeper just ran out of time to equalise.
I thoroughly enjoyed the game from start to finish well done boys, also I would like to congratulate Ramsey on their great sportsmanship throughout the match and wish them luck throughout the season.
