After a long trip to Paxton I soon realised what the game was going to bring after we wasn't offered a changing room and was told we couldn't put our things next to a park bench as it was the home teams. Sam Williams was in goal today and had a fantastic game couldn't be faulted at all. Paxton started the game the better with some decent play but just couldn't finish in front of goal was lucking shining on us today... Town started to come into the game and went close through Rob and James, but soon after this partnership got Town the breakthrough Rob turning his man on the edge of the box then sliding the ball through for James to smash the ball home. We controlled the game with Conner, Dion and Jack Harvey passing the ball around well setting up chances for Ryan and Kalem only for good defending to stop them. Paxton did equalise from sloppy marking from a corner then they were one on one until Danny caught him up and slid the ball out of play Paxton were screaming for a penalty i'm not sure they were watching the same game. Sam was commanding in his box and made some fine saves from close range, until just before HT Paxton extended there lead 2-1 HT
Second Half we started with fire in our bellies Todd was having a great game winning challenges and setting up attacks linking up well with the impressive duo of Conner and Jack H. The defence of Dan, Ben, Jack B and Andy were solid as usual and dealt with everything, Will had another strong game with his determination playing at both right and left back. Dion had to come off after a foul which earned the player a yellow card. Freddie's turn to come on and make a nuisance of himself. Conner then passed the ball forward and Robbie didn't give up and beat the keeper to the ball and walked it into an empty net 2-2. In injury time Paxton got through and Sam made a great save but the ball came back to the striker and he thought he was going to walk it into an open net but from nowhere Danny came in and tackled with both falling to the ground Danny was first to react and got to his feet to clear the ball away. 2-2 FT
This was a fair result and we wish Little Paxton well for the rest of the season.
