Away friendly match played on 20 February 2011.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Hi Guys

We managed to scramble a team to compelte this fixture, with it being half term, players being away and players being poorly, we managed to pull together a Squad of 5 Players. thanks to sean from the foxes from being understanding, and helping us out( william Our superstar).

Before the match we had a Min silence for the Foxes Coach Scott, Who passed away recently. Also i presented a Bouquet of flowers, for scott's family on behalf of our club.

Now with the game, we played the foxes in October in a close game as both teams we evenly matched, we squeezed a 1-0 victory.

as stated we were short so we started our game with 6 players, the foxes had 7. Again the teams we evenly matched, and they both started a a fast pace, the game went from end to end with the foxes having  some chances, but John and liam defended brill, then Shay got onto the ball in the foxes box and short and scored. which was  great boost for the team, as the scored first. This seem to give the team confidence, and the went on the attack, Jaylen and Noah battlled hard in midfield, and challenged well for the ball supporting John and liam fantasticly well. again the foxes had some good attacks, special mention to Adelaine, who played brill for the foxes she nearly scored on at least three occasions in the first half, .Well Done Will. he did great in goal for us. and john and Liam battled well, and helped keep a clean sheet in the first half. we had some good attacks, with Shay and jaylen making some good runs, Just need to release the ball earlier( to be fair with us having only 6 players, we could not get enough support in some parts of the match). Jaylen ran onto a ball, after a mistake and shot and scored after a great effort by the foxes keeper, who just could not keep the ball out of the net.

In the 2nd half will went on pitch and jaylen went in goal for the first 10 mins.again both teams competed well, and battled well. Shay managed to battle for a ball, and shot and scored. What was good, was he used both feet. he controled the ball with is right foot and shot with his left.

then after some further attacks, the foxes maged to get a gol back, Adalaide had some more attacks, and the foxes csame close on a few times to scoring. Will had a great short in the foxes box, great credit to the the keeper who mad a great save, shay had anothe attack, and shot again their keep saved the shot. After 10 min, shay and Jaylen, swaped and with Jaylen going up front, and Shay going in goal. Liam did some great runs from defence with the ball, and john played really well challenging well and making some great tackles. Jaylen and Will did well up front and Noah again was a powerhouse  in midfeild battleing well as always, running his heart out. Like i said what made the performace more incredible was the fact that we played with six players, and the foxes had 7, and we held our own, and managed to get the victory. Well done to both teams, who played the match in the right spirit, and both enjoyed the game. after the match we had a penalty shoot out, which again both teams enjoyed. Special mention to Sean and the parents at Melton, who were great. Again thanks to all our parent and grand Parents( Noah) for all their commitment for getting the kids to the game.

* Special Mention to Will ( Sean's son)  he is a credit not only to Melton, but to  his family for playing so well.

Lastly to Scott's family deepest sympathy and best wishes during this time.

Bert
