Everyone was excited once again and hopefully Heyside could continue with the win from last week..but within minutes we were trailing...even with Antony Hewitt from Heyside A the team looked all over the place with no one looking like they knew what they were doing. 0-1.
TSC attacked at will whilst stopping any Heyside attacks in the process...as per usual it took 7 minutes for us to get into our stride and finally it clicked that that we were in a game...many attacks started to come and the griity midfield of Darren Knebel, Antony Hewitt & Lewis Bramwell started to get on top, Kyle Fitton was his busy little self giving the TSC defenders a torrid time with dribbling skills and pulling off one or two Giggs dragbacks in the process.
Joe Thomas was standing tall in goal making some brave saves and Jack Dowd and Jayden Elson again doing the unsung work at the back which doesn't always get notice, it made life that bit easier for everyone.
A goal was surely just round the corner now, and a great strike from midfield dynamo Darren Knebel eased all the pressure. 1-1.
Half Time - Heyside Jnrs B 1 TSC Utd 1.
After the break Heyside started pressure the TSC backline and it was only a matter of time before we took the lead.
Great build up play again was the key and some one touch passing by Sam Prestwich Alex Hewitt and Jake Hussain brought great applause from the crowd, the ball came to Darren Knebel who drove the ball home for his and Heyside's second of the game. 2-1.
TSC started to throw caution to the wind and were leaving big gaps in the midfield, Heyside capitalised on this..Antony Hewitt burst through only to be tripped 15 yards out. Lewis Bramwell carefully placed the ball down as the referee told TSC to go back 5 yards for the free kick. He stepped up and hit the ball like an excorcet missile shudderering the net...it was a fantastic strike and it was well deserved for Lewis.3-1.
Kyle Fitton was running rings round TSC and it took three of them to get the ball off him..he too was having another fine game.
It was great to see that all the hard training this team had been doing on Wednesdays had finally started to pay off. Another attack which would be Heysides final goal, Antony Hewitt took the ball at speed drifted past sliding tackles and popped the ball with great accuracy into the net.4-1.
Full Time Score - Heyside Jnrs B 4 TSC Utd 1.
Another brilliant team performance which has carried on from last week with Joe Jack & Jayden doing the donkey work at the back, Lewis Jake Antony and Darren spreading the ball about in midfield, and Kyle Alex and Sam holding the ball upfront and terrorising the defence.
Man Of The Match - Darren Knebel.
