Well it was a proper defeat, 6 - 0 for the lucky ones who weren't there. Once again plans were torn up by the late withdraqwals of Rob Brown and Norm as a starter. There were some important positives, to start with, we matched them toe to toe for 25 mins and even had them getting a bit irritable, 2 debuts of Jon and Stephen, both showing enough to suggest that once they get to know their team mates and get match sharp, that they have something impoprtant to add to the squad......hopefully no more swan dives in the area with an open goal steve, snorting latex and all!!!! For those who weren't there it needs several beers and some time to explain it!!! Lets not distract ourselves everyone in the team was left short at some time in the game and we all had embarrassing moments. The most noticeable thing for me is the impact of the goal against. In both halfs we looked good enough for 25 / 20 mins respectively, until we concede and then we let our heads drop. However, the best thing about the day was the spirit in the Kilton on the way home. Proper Dunkirk spirit for Armistice day....shame we didn't do it on the pitch but anyway, onwards and upwards to the next game. From the original squad we have lost chris, who has to return East for visiting of ill health in the family and Leightons ankle looks a little worrying and maybe maybe not from mike illif. Good news is that new recruits are not daunted by a heavy defeat and are signing up, so competition may be tough and those in possession of the shirts may have an advantage for the old foe match next week, 1;20 (Ian please note that is 13;20 hours not 12 noon).....I did look and i can (not) see how you misinterpreted it....who knows paul might make contact with the after life and we may have butties chips and a bar....but then again....the Kilton was a decent alternative. so I need an up to date fitness and availability plan for the next game....and yes we are playing 4-4-2!!!!!!!!!!!!! rob (your heroic and succesful new manager....played 5 lost 5, conceded 30 scored 6...what a great record)....Tok still refuses to ressurect his player/manager career Rob Niven
