Dynamo travelled to Glasgow to play Beechwood Athletic in the 4th round of the Scottish Cup.
Both teams started in a nervous fashion with a lot of passes being misplaced. Midway through the 1st half Dynamo started to take control of the game with some good play down the left wing. The referee then made a strange decision. He had awarded a free-kick to Dynamo near the by-line, Robbie Graham passed the ball back to keeper Consettini who picked the ball, as he thought it was a goal-kick. The ref decided that it was a backpass and awarded an indirect free kick, but the keeper redeemed himself with an excellent save. Minutes later Dav McAndrew had to go off injured and was replaced by Martyn Mohammed.
Dynamo took 10 minutes to get back into their stride but started to dominate the game. With Keco and McCormack bossing the midfield they released McGowan, Davidson and Reynolds but the final ball was lacking until just on half-time.A move down the right released Murrau and his strong shot was well saved by the keeper. Another break down the left resulted in Davidson cutting the ball back for Murray, he side-stepped his man but shot weakly at the keeper, with Parker on his shoulder.
Half-time 0-0.
Dynamo started the 2nd half brilliantly. A deep Andy McGowan corner was powered home by Sean McCormack and the swans were unleashed.
Beechwood immediately made some changes and the players that came on were much better than the ones they replaced. A long throw on the right resulted in a missed punch by Marcello and the forward had a simple header home from 1 yard. Minutes later Beechwood crossed in from the left and the ball found its way to their forward with his back to goal. He spun very well and slotted the ball into the top corner. Dynamo were startled but eventually got back into the game. Some good play down the right reulted in Martyn Murray picking up the ball near the corner flag. He pinged a great cross into the box for Alan Parker to power home a header and bring the scores level. Dynamo were flying and soon Parker laid the ball off to captain Eamonn Reynolds 40 yards from goal. He pushed the ball forward and from 35 yards hit the best shot ever seen in Sunday football.
With the score 3-2 and Dynamo in control a place in the last 32 seemed guaranteed, but with only minutes to go the ref awarded a free-kick after Sean McCormack bumped into the Beechwood player. The Beechwood player managed to score direct from the free-kick to force the game into penalties.

A fantastic game but the boys will be wondering what could have been this year. A fantastic chance to go all the way in the Scottish slips away from them, but don't worry they'll be back next year.
