Coming in to the game on the back of two narrow defeats, Raptors needed to put in a game winning performance.
Starting with a 4-2-3-1 of:
GK - KP
LB - Jack CB - Plaz CB - Shoppy (C) RB - Bandy
CM - Caino CM - Pad
LW - Matty CAM - Mads RW - Danny
ST - Kingsley
Raptors started very well, and unlike previous first halves, moved the ball around well and communication was bang on.
Caino and Pad picking the ball up regularly, dominated the middle of the park, and the ball was moved out to the wings nicely.
Raptors absolutly destroyed possesion in the first 20 minutes, and was unlucky not to go in front as Caino calling for the ball from Kingsley, smashed a beast of a shot that was smashed against the joint.
The possesion was kept up to a high standard, as Matty and Kingsley continued to put inviting balls into the area, but no one could get on the end of them.
The breakthrough came eventually, as Mads with the ball around the edge of the area, laid it off the Chris Patrickson who shot home a low drive, that the keeper could only get finger tips on. 1-0
Raptors continued to dominate the half, with Chances coming for Ryan Maddock. A ball through saw him at a tight angle, and fire a shot just wide. Another saw him at his dangerous skillful ways. Flicking the ball up and over a defender, the ball was hit on the volley, which just whistled past the post.
Danny Warman made some good runs from RW, which saw him get in behind the defender a few times and cause PRC problems.
Chris had another chance as another beautiful cross field delivery by Kingsley, was there to be hit, but was brought down lovely, and a cheeky lob over the keeper, saw it go just over the bar.
LB Jack Gale then had a beautiful attempt from just outside the area tipped over the bar by the keeper.
Half time, and Raptors only 1 nil up, but really couldve been more.
The team was unchanged for the second half.
Raptors continued to attack through the second half, and knew a second goal would see the game off. The lads kept attacking, but voices dropped which allowed PRC to start to get more possession.
This was noted and a double substitution saw Danny replaced by Tommy and Chris replaced by Joe, and the formation change to a 4-4-2.
It didnt take long for the new formation to kick into gear. A freekick awarded to Raptors, saw Kingsley Lambert whip in a beautiful freekick, which found sub Thomas Tompkins, who with a faint touch, headed into the net. 2-0
Within 5 minutes of finding the 2nd, Raptors put the game to bed with a 3rd. Another freekick for Raptors, saw Kingsley hit the freekick, which Joe Santoriello blocked ?? and flicked it to Matthew Poulton who hooked the ball over the keeper into the back of the net.
At 3-0, subs saw Bandy replaced by James Rimmer and Mads replaced by Raptors 'Giroud' James Stuart.
Towards the end of the game, Raptors lost captain for the day, Tom Noah Shopland to a nasty ankle injury. Club have heard he is on crutches and has a boot on. The club wish him a speedy recovery.
Fulltime and Raptors back on winning ways with the 3 points. We could argue we couldve had more goals, but the work rate and ball distribution was spot on.
Man of the match was between 2 players. Caino and Plaz. Caino for the second week, impressed with a solid performance, and was close to bettering his goal last week. But Jamie Frear took home the bottle with a beast of a performance at the back. An absolute treat for a GK to have a CB's performance like that.
