The team arrived at Tooting Bec playing fields after most of the team sunk plenty of beer on sat night!! Game got under way on a very small pitch as it resembled an under 11’s pitch at Croygas. We started very very slowly and it was not long before the home side took control of the game with little triangles that they uted very well making it very hard for Croygas to get a foothold on the game. Being on the small pitch Croygas couldn’t seem to get a grip on the game as the passing just didn’t seem to be clicking. Chances were very far and few between with a difficult chance for Pete just going over the bar. Besides that there was very little goal action from either side however after about 35 mins we switched off from a through ball allowing three players through for one of them to slot past Brad.
Half time – Kudos 1 Croygas 0
Half time some strong words were said to which meant nothing as we started the second half as we did in first.. From which Kudos took advantage from a silly free kick and made it 2-0. That goal seemed to get some fire going in the bellies as we finally woke up and started to win the ball and be heard from. We started to get the ball down and play some football whilst showing fight to win every ball and pressure them as we know they don’t respond well to.. (60 mins too late). Reiss showed get determination up top after a headed flick got through and after getting his legs untangled to get a shot away which took a deflection to put it out for a corner. From the resulting corner Dave R got up like a salmon too head in at about 70 mins from then on we took control of the game from which we created a few chances the best chance fell to Reiss he rounded the keeper hit his shot but hit the defender on the line. Time was running out very quickly and in the 90th min the kudos goal keeper claimed the ball to which should of been game over but then he put the ball on the floor to waste a little time but Reiss chased him down too which the keeper picked the ball back up resulting in a indirect free kick inside the box. The ref took a bit of time to give it after a rant from Adam which no one under stood.. but from that Adam touched the ball to Dave who drilled it home from 11.5 yards to make it 2-2 with seconds on the clock. Good spirit shown but need to start quicker to avoid dropping points in the future.
