Big game for the Corries lads on a clear and Sunny Remembrance Sunday against a strong Bartley Green Owls side who we suffered a undeserved 2-0 defeat last time we met. Straight from the off the boys wanted to re write the wrongs made against Bartley.
Changes made to the team that saw off Express Falcons last week saw the return of Luke Bench at centre half partnering with Tom Restal in his first game for the corries. Mitch Wren at right back & Cam Lewis on the left side.
No Martin byfield today who apparently woke up blind from last nights antics?????????
Bit of a change around in midfield also with Richard Dugmore and Richie McGuire stepping in for the first time this season proved to be real quality throughout ! Scotty Taylor who bagged himself 4 goals today & man of the match went out to the right and Mikey Price back in the side on the left. Brad Williamson and skipper Dean Palmer up top.
The boys started very well controlling a large part of the first half Bartley fighting for a possession throughout ! Brad Williamson popped up with the first of 7 goals this morning putting the Bartley keeper under pressure brilliantly to cause a mistake which then fell for a straight forward finish ! Great assist coming straight from the keeper Matty Talbot.
Going up for the ball with Brad seemed costly for Bartley who had to bring their keeper off. This was a big turning point in Bartley Greens game today having to make unwanted changes.
Dominating the game Corries powered on creating great chances a lot coming from the great work from midfield leaving brad and the bull up top with plenty of opportunities at goal.
Corries second come from The rampant Scott Taylor ! The month off the beer has done this lad the world of good ! 3rd goal fell to skipper Dean Palmer Great ball in from Mikey Price and a great touch by the big man. Tidy finish to go 3-0 up.
Scotty’s second goal this morning was a belter hitting the top right hand corner. Great Chested ball from McGuire to Richard Dugmore to assist.

Scotty was on fire this morning and put away Corries 4th goal & his Hat-Trick all before the second half.
Half Time 4-0
No changes at the half as the lads did brilliantly in the first half no problems for Sam.
Second half was very much the same story corries dominating possession and controlling the game. Scotty putting away another goal which made it 4 for today’s man of the match.
Bartley weren’t just lying down and taking it though in the second half they got their goal from a Liam Spink free kick nicely placed into the bottom right.
Unlucky for Matty Talbot who really deserved a clean sheet today putting in another solid performance. ???? Credit to the lads at the back who made it look easy today ! Dunno about the other end though Mitch Wren ??
Fresh legs brought on up top Jordan Hartley for Dean Palmer & at the back Jack Berry for Tom Restal. Berry taking the arm band from Deano.
Corries final goal came from a great pass from Brad Williamson for Mikey Price to put away beautifully with his left foot !
Great to see Corries in full flow today much deserved convincing win for the boys this team is improving every week.
Corries have a tough game against Hawthorns FC next week in Division 1 Cup ! Winning our last 6 out of 7 games the boys are feeling confident.
