Bridge Focus vs Bridge Target

Meeting of Giants, matches between these two has always been hyped up, so hyped up that I think it affected Bridge Target mentally which led to the fall of giants. Derby matches are always emotional with a lot to prove. It is more tense when both teams have won all their games the pressure builds up and players tend to get in over in heads. Bridge Target surely was in over heads. As they showed aggression at the beginning but then maybe it was a little too much aggression.

One thing is certain if they played football like they did against previous opponents it would have been a closer game than it was.

Focus Players were brilliant from start to finish, from backline to forward.

Surely our man of the match was Bluebird the little teenager had a brilliant game he stopped everything and was also smart about it. For instance, when he held Gerald on the shirt, he held Gerald from the middle of the pitch till he reached the 18 yard box before he left him. How smart is that when the referee blew the whistle he brought it back to the middle of the pitch. Brilliant defending if you foul an opponent, do it far away from the 18 yard box. Let’s not talk about how Aguero terrorised the Target’s defence he was a constant threat throughout the match.

Anyway, it is not all bad for Target they can learn from this, it is still early days and they have the quality to beat Focus as long as they play football. Famous quote ‘we win together and we lose together’. It was as if Target’s attackers gave up and thought they’d lost the game as Focus’ keeper would spend time on the ball without anyone putting pressure on him.

One must respect Liam, he kept motivating the team and screaming at them to raise it, he kept his cool and did not give up till the final whistle (That is it, it is not over until the final whistle) even though the match meant a lot to him as he was playing his old club after joining Target for £35 million + undisclosed add-ons.

Meanwhile, Gerald’s goal could not encourage Target to stage a comeback as it was only a consolation goal. Gerald by the way had a relatively quiet game but these things happen. I am positive they will bounce back.
