Home league match played on 19 October 2008.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Old Greenfordians were the latest team to come to Concorde Centre to play against rejuvenated BA Sunday side fresh from two consecutive victories.

Unfortunately the league, yet again, were unable to provide a referee, so the gargantuan figure of Franco Sanchez kindly stepped up to the plate for his second outing as the match official.

BA made one change from last week with Yeast coming in for Gav who was away breast feeding in Bristol.

Greenfordians won the toss and kicked off. The game started slowly with both teams struggling to keep possession. BA were particularly wasteful and were not able to put any moves together or barely muster a shot on goal. Greenfordians were growing in confidence and had two consecutive efforts cannon back off the crossbar, but BA's rearguard stood firm. The BA fans hoped this would stun their lacklustre team in action, but it did not and the rest of the half passed without any significant incident. 0-0 at half time.

At half time it was clear to everyone that BA's 1st half performance was not up to standard, and in order to win the game, and keep the winning run going, BA would have to up their game considerably.

The second half began with signs of some improvement, with the hard working centre midfield pairing of Yeast and Bish beginning to take control in the middle, and as a result BA's quality of possession improved.

After 60 minutes BA had their best chance of the morning, good work on the left by Whitey set Mooney up in the area with only the keeper to beat. Unfortunately for BA Mooney's touch was a bit heavy and the keeper dived successfully at Tim's feet. Dean Leow then had a chance but put it over, and Whitey also had a shot blocked. The chances were coming thick and fast and BA began to dominate proceedings.

However with the scoreline still 0-0 and a strong bench at his disposal, Kingy decided to change things around bring himself and Tim Mooney off to be replaced by Paul Pidoux and Garlick.

The changes freshened up the side with Josh moving to left midfield and Whitey upfront. Shortly after coming on Paul Pidoux had a shot well saved and Yeast fired narrowly wide. Just as the BA boys started to think it wasn't going to be there day Josh Val Taylor smashed home an unstoppable left foot shot following great link play between Dean Leow and Andy Garlick. 1-0. Get in.

The confidence then flowed into BA and Greenfordians began to look tired. Another move emanating from the right hand side put Garlick in the clear, he looked up delivered a pinpoint cross right onto the head of Whitey who buried the ball into the back of the net from a yard. 2-0 and game over.

There was barely time for the game to restart and BA had won there third game in a row. It was certainly not a classic performance, but three points and a clean sheet whilst not at there best suggest the seasons looking bright for BA Sunday.
