Match Report by Micheal Perry
Cavaliers started very slow only waking up after gifting the home team there first goal though a poor back pass. 1-0 after 5 minutes.
The home team were very much in control for most of the first half adding a 2nd goal on the half hour mark. 2-0 at HT.
Cavaliers made 3 subs at HT looking to get back in the game. With the 2nd half under way it looked more of a contest. But after 10 minutes from a throw in high up the pitch with Cavaliers failing to clear the ball from the box. A weak shoot found its way into the bottom corner. 3-0.
As Cavaliers push on to try and get back in the game it left gaps at the back and only 5 minutes later from a poor clearance Red Star played a first time ball through the middle which there striker slotted home.
With 25 minutes or so to play Cavaliers finally started to play the football they have for most of the season. With 20 minutes left a cross from the left made it to Kieran just inside the box and he fired his shoot into the roof of the net. 4-1.
After that it was all Cavaliers. But the 2nd came to late as with the last kick of the game Moony was played through and after a neat turn in the box found the corner of the goal. Finished 4-2.
A dissapointing end to Cavaliers Kent Cup adventure.
